The Vermont Cynic

As a student at the University of Vermont, I had the opportunity to contribute my artistic skills to the “Vermont Cynic”, the oldest continuously running college newspaper in the United States!

My work for the paper involved coming up with illustrations to rapidly meet deadlines. This required reading my assigned articles to extract themes and motifs from the articles for use in my illustrations. This was a job that required me to stretch my creative muscles and think on my feet.
Additionally, due to my abilities to rapidly complete deadlines, I was often the last line of defense for illustration – if a fellow illustrator was unable to meet their deadline it would be passed to me as I never failed to meet a deadline.

I’m proud to have been a part of such a long-standing tradition of student journalism and creativity.
