As part of my Fallout: Vermont universe – there’s a ski resort in Southern Vermont known as Vault-MTN Ski Resort.
It was purchased on the front as a way for the Vault-Tec corporation to diversify it’s funds a bit. As a small hedge against the war ending in a peaceful resolution. Bit in fact, the true reason for purchasing the ski resort was much darker.
Approaching the ailing ski resort in Stratton in the spring of 2056 with a deal, Vault-MTN Opened for its first season in October of 2057. Simultaneously with the refurbishment of the resort and mountain facilities/infrastructure by Vault-Tec, the construction of Vault 121 was commenced.
In 2077, to celebrate 20 years of operation, Vault-MTN released this limited edition T-Shirt design.
Vault 121 was completed in 2065, and its population selected over the following seven years. Unbeknownst to the public, Vault-Tec had auctioned slots off in this vault to rich families who then moved to Stratton and the surrounding area throughout the late 60s and 70s.
During the war, the nearby villages were evacuated and the vault sealed.
As the years post-war wound by, the effects of The Zone (The Bennington Triangle) became more pronounced. Eventually resulting in ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀a cruel punishment ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀.
