The other day, I noticed that the shape of Vermont and Nevada are strangely similar, just flipped. So naturally I had to see what it would look like if they swapped places.
For some reason some French fur-trappers terribly off course, happened upon the snowy peaks of the Great Basin Desert. Meanwhile, a forlorn group of Spanish explorers has found their way up to northern New England. Both decide to set up shop, leading to the eventual creation of the states of…
The State of NEIJO
Originally referred to as “Neigeux” by the Frenchmen who originally laid eyes upon the snowy sierras. After the Louisiana Purchase, the area began to see more and more immigrants from the American East.
This French name for the region was eventually anglicized and simplified by the trickle of American settlers into “Neijo“.
From its 30 miles of coastline, to its endless deserts, the state of Neijo is truly a gem for weary wintery states.

Based on the battle flag of the Silver Mountain Boys. The 36 stars represent its status as the 36th US State.
The State of SIERRAVERDE
The Spanish explorers who first laid eyes on the wonderous green mountains of northern New England were struck, and referred to it as a “garden of Eden”. Thus, a name befitting this verdant mountainous land was in order – with the explorers deciding on “Sierraverde“.
Bask on the sunny shores of Lake Lahontan, or take the scenic drive from Landerpilier to Wolfson City through the wonderous Pyramid Mountains, and the iconic Mojave Gap.

The colors named on the flag are the official state colors. With the 14 stars representing its status as the 14th US State.
Which state would you rather live in? Which states should I swap next? (Prob VT and NH, or CO and WY.)

Hello would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
Hiya! Good question. I’m using WordPress! I was able to extend it through JavaScript and CSS so the sky is really the limit on how you want to customize it. Also has a rather useful backend interface.
