I’ve been messing with Bing’s AI chat bot lately. They recently added the ability to generate images – which I’ve been having way too much fun with. I’ve found that its a great way to drum up some inspiration. I had it generate some travel posters for an alternate reality where the Republic of Vermont still exists in the modern era. While they were quite unfinished – they served as good inspiration and I created this travel poster from scratch.
I thought it would be more interesting to create a travel poster for the Bicentennial of the Vermont Republic in 1977. I like the retro aesthetics of travel posters from that era and wanted to capture the vibe in the poster. I chose international orange as the background color to represent the self-sufficient, backwoods culture of the republic.
I plan on creating more of these type of travel posters for my Many United States project. Stay tuned!
