Recently the Lawson Finest Liquids company opened up a contest to design a special edition of the flagship beer “Sip of Sunshine” for the 10th anniversary of its release.
Naturally, as a fan of the beer and someone who hails from the neck of the woods in which it operates – I figured it would be a fun contest to compete it!
Here’s the final design I submitted:
I based this on the rope-swing overlooking a swim spot in my hometown – which is just a town over from their brewery. I had spotted Shawn Lawson at this swimming hole before so I figured I may be able to get a leg up in the contest through raw recognition.
Unfortunately, I was not so lucky, and my design was not selected. Phooey!

Even though I didn’t win, I had a heck of a lotta fun making these!
Maybe I’ll get it for the 20th anniversary…
