I had an opportunity to design a beer can for a brewery over in Los Angeles, California. Unfortunately the deal ended up falling through – however, I did get some interesting designs out of it.
The concept was a reference to the famous Calvin and Hobbes comic collection titled: “Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat”. I didn’t want to do a direct copy, but rather an obvious reference that any fan would recognize as Calvin and Hobbes-esque.
Though I also made some alternate versions, one if we get hit by copyright, and the other just a variation on the color and scene:
