I recently came across a fantastic photo archive on the Library of Congress by a photographer named John Margolies. He traveled around the country between the 1960s and late-2000s taking photographs of interesting road-side architecture.
I absolutely love the filmic quality of the photos he took. If I’m not mistaken, he primarily utilized Kodachrome film, which makes these photos even more unique. Truly from a bygone era. Many of these buildings exist only in photograph form today.
Inspired by some of the more unique selections from the archive, I decided to practice some architectural drawing.
